Free fatty acids regulating action of Capparis decidua fruit on dyslipidemia in rats

Capparis decidua belongs to family Capparidaceae in wastelands of India. The study aim was determine the role C. fruits on free fatty acids (FFA) profile fat-rich diet (FRD) dyslipidemic rats. methanolic extract edible fruit (CD) given orally obese rats at dose 125 mg/kg and 250 for consecutive 28 days. CD treatment FRD significantly restricts body weight gains. Blood lipid altered dependently after 4-week with FRD. It (p<0.05) enhanced serum FFA especially, g-linolinate, a-linolinate, arachidonate, ecosapentaenoate, docosapentaenoate docosahexaenoate. Moreover, w3-PUFA content also (50.3% 78.8%) treated animals, whereas MUFA lowered (31.1% 40%). Therefore, has a promising dyslipidemia obesity capabilities regulate beneficial acids.
